SSSHAKE Talks: Visual storytelling for campaigns and editorials

We are thrilled to introduce the SSSHAKE Talks at Number 90 Bar & Kitchen. During these monthly talks, we will invite inspiring and diverse profiles from the creative industries to take the stage and discuss topics that passionate them.

For this third edition, we are welcoming experienced lifestyle creators bringing concepts to life through visual storytelling. Learn about the creative direction and styling process in advertising and photography: how to bring concepts to life, how to collaborate with your team, what process to follow and what important elements to take into account when composing compelling visuals.

☐ Jean Cazals, Lifestyle Photographer

Jean Cazals was awarded ‘Best Food Photographer 2012’ as well as numerous other awards. A London based food photographer, he gained his BA Hons. in Visual Communication at the LCP. After a successful decade of portraiture for editorial, advertising and design clients, he had a stint for 2 years shooting commercials. Loving food and travel for years, naturally brought him to turn his lens towards food and lifestyle.

He has shot over 80 books. As an author and photographer, Jean was awarded the ‘Gourmand Best Dessert CookBook UK 2013’ award for his book ‘TeaTime’. He also consults and advises on book publishing for new projects.

☐ Christopher Thomson, Art Director

Designer, Art Director & Founding Partner of StudioThomson, London, Christopher has an eclectic portfolio covering over 25 years of industry experience for global names including Apple, Belstaff, Blur, COS, Design Museum, Jimmy Choo, Mother Agency, Turnbull & Asser, Uniqlo and Wrangler. He is also a visiting lecturer at Central Saint Martins University of the Arts London.

The talk will be followed by relaxed networking and sweet tunes.
